Safety & Security
Knowing that you have a safe and secure place to call home is an important part of the student accommodation experience. At My Space, security is an important consideration across our residences, with measures varying by location and accommodation type. Depending on the residence, these may include 24-hour security, controlled access, CCTV monitoring, electric fencing and alarm systems connected to armed response.
Many of our residences are also conveniently located close to campus, making it easier for students to get to and from classes. Our on-site teams are available to assist when needed, providing support as part of everyday residence life.
Together, these measures help create a secure and supportive environment where students can focus on their studies, enjoy their independence and feel at home, while giving parents added peace of mind.
Facilities & Services
University life is busy enough without having to worry about the little things. At My Space, our residences offer a range of facilities and services designed to make everyday student life more comfortable, convenient and connected. Offerings vary by residence and may include:

At My Space, community is about more than sharing a residence. It is about creating an environment where students feel welcomed, supported and connected throughout their university journey. My Space offers students access to a structured Res Life programme that offers:

Money Matters
All parents will have access to the My Space portal. Here you can view invoices and statements and make payments online. You never have to request an account balance or send a proof of payment again!

Our residences include dedicated study spaces where students can focus on their academic goals, while our supportive environment helps them feel comfortable and settled. We understand that wellbeing is just as important as academic success, and students have access to support and resources throughout their stay.

Sibling Discounts
We recognise that the cost of higher education extends beyond tuition fees, and that families with more than one child pursuing their studies simultaneously often face increased financial pressures. To help ease this burden and support families investing in their children’s futures, we offer a sibling discount for students residing at our residences.
The sibling discount is applied progressively, with the first child receiving the standard residence rate, the second child qualifying for a 5% discount, and the third child qualifying for a 7.5% discount. This initiative reflects our commitment to making quality student accommodation more accessible and affordable while ensuring that every resident continues to enjoy the same exceptional facilities, safe living environment, and supportive student experience that we are known for.

General Shuttle Service
For travel beyond Stellenbosch, we have partnered with Charterz, offering reliable transport throughout Cape Town and the surrounding areas.
Whether parents and/or students need an airport transfer, transport home for the weekend or a lift to another destination, Charterz can assist.
